To date, 2020 has proven to be one of the most challenging times in our 36-year history since 1984. Through all the years since the bricks were laid in 1910, finished December 23, 1911, the James Bay Hotel, Saint Mary's Priory, James Bay Hotel, Colonial Inn, and finally, James Bay Inn (1984) Ltd. has found its way to be there for you. From our international visitors & locals to our fantastic staff & Social Media Fans, we value all the memories and take nothing for granted. Our employees, guests and community are an extension of our family, and we look forward to sharing many more memories with all of you.
Without your support, the James Bay Inn Hotel, JBI Pub & the James Bay Inn Art Deco Cafe/Restaurant would never be able to provide 50-60 local full-time and part-time jobs that support our staff & their families in Victoria, BC. Your support also aids in providing jobs for the staff and families from our local breweries, food suppliers, contractors & our community as a whole. From the bottom of our hearts...THANK YOU.
Opening
The JBI appreciates the overwhelming amount of phone calls, messages on social media and emails since May 19th, the date given by local health authorities when restaurants and pubs were given the ok to offer dine-in service once again. We want to apologize that we could not provide more answers to you before now. We chose to wait until such time that we have done all we can to ensure the health & safety of our guests, staff and community.
After being closed for 94 days, the JBI Pub and James Bay Inn Art Deco Cafe/Restaurant will open again on June 24th, 2020. Some of the measures we have taken at first glance will seem slightly different from what you are used too. However, we promise that our commitment to providing you with the very best in casual relaxation, drinks & delicious food at an exceptional value will never waiver.
Starting June 24th, 2020 our Hours of operation will be:
JBI Pub hours 11:am - 11:pm
Restaurant hours 7:30am-2:00pm 4:30pm-9:00pm
Not ready to come out for a visit? No worries, we completely respect that. Whether it is dine-in or pick up, we will be here when the time is right for you.
